Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day… When you don’t have a partner, Valentine’s day seems as if it’s so in your face! It is time to reinvent Valentine’s Day && make it our own. Here are 3 things I find very helpful:

First Thing: Get your Headspace right
Make a playlist of songs that make you feel gorgeous, sexy, amazing, inspired, joyful && all of the above! Positive vibes only… Play it loudly! Sing it!

Second Thing: Write ‘I Love Me’ Notes
Think of no less than 10 things you love about yourself. Anything… Put each one on a sticky note && put them around your space to remind yourself that YOU ARE amazing && you deserve your own love && appreciation.

Third Thing: Embrace Solitude
Think, you get to put all of the energy you would normally focus on someone else into exploring what makes you happy. Being single gives you time && space to learn about yourself. Use Valentine’s Day to explore what is important to you. What are your dreams? What is important to you in a relationship? Make a list of relationship requirements! What do you need to heal on the inside before you get into a new relationship? This is so important because, without this self-examination, you will take your baggage with you into your next relationship.

My challenge to you: Reclaim Valentine’s Day && use the time to start a ‘Single and Free to Be Me’ gratitude journal. Use it to capture your self-discoveries && what you’re enjoying about your independence && freedom.

Now, give yourself a big hug!
